Dr. Valérie Krivosic is an Ophthalmologist specialist in retinal diseases requiring medical and surgical treatment. After completing a post-graduate degree within the INSERM Unit directed by Professor Tournier-Lasserve at the University of Paris VII, she worked as Registrar in the Ophthalmology Unit directed by Professor Gaudric at Lariboisière in Paris for 3 years. She acquired extensive experience in retinal vascular disease, in both surgery (e.g. for diabetic retinopathy) and medical treatment. She currently works part-time at Lariboisière carrying out surgery and clinical research into new medication for the retina and part-time in a retina imaging centre (Centre ophtalmologique de l’Odéon – Paris 6). Within CERVCO, she is responsible for a number of diseases of the small retinal vessels such as familial exudative vitreoretinopathy, idiopathic macular telangiectasia and Von Hippel Lindau disease.
