Presentation of CERVCO
Our centre, which brings together the Neurology, Ophthalmology, Molecular Genetics, Neuroradiology, Neurosurgery and Anatomopathology departments, as well as the Headache Emergency Centre, has been designated a reference centre for rare vascular diseases of the central nervous system and retina.
Its mission is to improve care for patients suffering from various rare familial or sporadic vascular disorders of the central nervous system and retina.

The Centre, known as CERVCO (Centre de Référence pour les maladies rares des Vaisseaux du Cerveau et de l'Oeil) This centre, known as CERVCO (Reference Centre for rare diseases of the blood vessels in the brain and eye, Centre de Référence pour les maladies rares des Vaisseaux du Cerveau et de l'Oeil) includes all the departments in Lariboisière Hospital involved in the treatment of rare vascular diseases of the retina, brain or spinal cord: CADASIL, familial vascular leukoencephalopathies, cerebral amyloid angiopathies, retinal arteriolar tortuosities, hereditary cerebroretinal vasculopathies with or without mutation of the COL4A1 or TREX1 genes, hereditary retinal and cerebral cavernomas, Von Hippel Lindau retinal haemangioblastomas, Moyamoya angiopathy, cerebral arterio-venous malformations, familial cerebral aneurysms, cerebral venous thrombosis, retinal arteriovenous communications, hereditary cervical and cerebral artery dissections, IRVAN, familial hemiplegic migraine, Coats disease, peripheral telangiectatic masses, idiopathic macular telangiectasia and familial exudative vitreoretinopathy.
